TAS LINK SUBMITTED JULY TOTALS
ISSUING
The active issue of payment cards of TAS Link clients in July 2025 increased by +70% compared to July 2024 and by +2% compared to June 2025. Mastercard dominates the structure of payment systems with 88% (significant growth in the structure over the year by +20%)
Dynamics of issuer transactions in July 2025: +27% compared to the same period last year and -3% compared to the previous month
The average check size in July 2025 increased by 10% compared to the same period last year and by +12% compared to the previous month
The number of transactions by type of operations on issued cards has a dynamics +2% and the following structure: POS purchases – 38%, E-com purchases – 21%, P2P – 41%, cash withdrawals – only 0.2%
The geographical structure of issuer transactions remains practically unchanged from the previous month: 93% of transactions were carried out within Ukraine, respectively, 7% – abroad
The highest value of the average check for issuer transactions is observed in P2P – more than 2300 UAH, purchases in E-com and in POS are about 700 and 800 UAH, respectively. The sharp increase in the average receipt for purchases in POS is due to qualitative changes in the issue of one of the largest issuers
We are observing significant changes in the size of the average check abroad and in Ukraine (+13% for domestic and -11% for foreign checks). For the first time, the domestic check has become larger than the foreign one
85% of issuer transactions fall into three categories: department stores, retail stores, and business services. Department stores account for the lion’s share – 52%. The structure of transactions has hardly changed over the month
In terms of MCC, Miscellaneous stores are also distinguished by a relatively larger average check: more than 2,300 UAH versus 360 UAH in Retail stores, 900 UAH – in Business services, 1,560 UAH – in other categories
ACQUIRING
The number of transactions of TAS Link clients – acquirers in July 2025 increased by +22% compared to July 2024. Monthly dynamics of the slowdown
The average check size decreased by -8% year-on-year in July, almost without fixing the monthly dynamics (+1%)
E-com purchases occupy a leading position in the structure of acquiring transactions (55%) and have a significant growth trend: compared to July 2024, these transactions added +11% to the structure
The largest average check is recorded among cash withdrawal transactions: more than 9,000 UAH, then P2P – more than 2,000 UAH
E-COMMERCE
The segment of online transactions in July 2025 grew by +26% year-on-year. In the structure of the number of transactions, the lion’s share belongs to E-com purchases (81%). The rest is divided in approximately equal shares by the segments of P2P transfers: Card2Card, Card2Account, Account2Card
In July 2025 compared to the same period last year, we observe an active growth in the use of wallets: ApplePay – growth from 30% to 34%, G-Pay – slower: from 11% to 12%. Accordingly, the share of other card entry methods decreased from 58% to 54% over the year
